Brum Airport investigating director's (?) outburst

Amuse Bouche.

When will they ever learn? One might think that organisations would take a look at the writer's journalistic output via The Sandwell Skidder and come to the conclusion that ignoring me is a fruitless enterprise since I will just keep digging ... But Birmingham Airport is only just learning the lesson.

Main Course

In a recent post Crow Multimedia questioned why scumbag cook, Glyn Purnell - (Crow posts passim) - has been painted onto a wall at the Airport as a local "icon". The Airport failed to reply to a press enquiry about this shocking state of affairs.

Thus, Crow started to dig a bit deeper. The Airport, in its promotional guff, had quoted the Terminal Operations Director on the subject of the "icon" [sic] wall. He has recently been promoted to the Advisory Board too. Then we found this on X:

Once again we contacted the Airport and asked whether the author of this unpleasant social media outburst was one and the same as the Airport's Mr Titterington? Once again they did not have the courtesy to reply. (We also attempted to contact the man himself via X, with no success).

Many readers will know the Brum Airport is largely owned by the local Councils in the West Midlands (and thus the Airport faces an existential threat if the Greens make substantial gains in today's local elections). But local councils have, hitherto, been glad of the money rolling in from this facility. Recently, Macquarie - known to crazed anti-capitalists as the "Vampire  Kangaroo because of its ability to, er, earn profits, and its Australian home base - bought a 26.5% stake in the Airport via one of its subsidiaries.

And so we wrote to Macquarie and it instantly got on the case. It has forced the Airport to respond. The reply is as follows:

"Please note, we are aware of this and an investigation is underway. We will not be commenting any further."

Perhaps there will be some "thick cnuts who voted Brexit" elected to our regional councils today, and they may be able to jog the investigation along, and make the outcome public ...

Crow hopes you are all rich ...
